Wendy Russell
Wendy Russell is the Deputy Director and policy lead for the implementation of the Boorman Review of NHS staff health and well-being. The work is central to the Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention agenda and reinforces the NHS Constitution’s pledge ‘to provide support and opportunities for staff to maintain their health, well-being and safety.’
Leatham Green
Leatham Green, Assistant Director: Personnel and Training, East Sussex County Council has worked in the public sector for over 20 years. Leatham is a National Board Member of the Public Sector People Management Association and Lead Policy Officer for Wellbeing, Worklessness and Job Creation. Leatham has held a range of leadership roles from contract management to ICT Services.
Jerry Gibson
Jerry Gibson, who grew up and went to school in Newham, East London, joined ACAS in 1975, having previously worked for the Employment Service in Shoreditch and studied at Christ’s College of Education in Liverpool.
Alex Tambourides
Alex Tambourides is the National Workplace Lead for Mind and also works at a local level as the Deputy Chief Executive for Hammersmith and Fulham Mind. Alex has been working in the field of mental health for over 5yrs, driven by a passion caused by his own experience of depression. At a national level Alex’s work is focused entirely on mental health and employment.
Ellen Smith
Ellen began her career in the NHS twenty eight years ago as a nursing auxiliary. She trained to become an RGN and worked in a variety of nursing roles in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leicester and Rotherham before developing her career further.

Karen Charman
As Head of Employment Services at NHS Employers, Karen leads and directs the work of the employment services function, incorporating workforce planning; recruitment and retention; health, work and wellbeing; modernising health professions; and employment standards; recruitment and retention; health, work and wellbeing; modernising health professions; and employment standards.
Ben Willmott
Ben Willmott joined the Institute in October 2003. He is responsible for ensuring the CIPD's interests are represented across a wide range of public policy areas including employee relations and health and wellbeing.
Christine Hunter
Christine E. Hunter is the Head of Occupational Health Services for Central London Community Healthcare which is a community based NHS service, She has had 40 year experience in the specialty of Occupational Health.
Dr Nerys Williams
Nerys qualified in Medicine from Manchester University before undertaking a number of hospital jobs and GP training. She joined the Wellcome Foundation as an Occupational Physician before moving to the Health and Safety Executive in 1992.
