The work is central to the Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention agenda and reinforces the NHS Constitution’s pledge ‘to provide support and opportunities for staff to maintain their health, well-being and safety.’

Leatham Green, Assistant Director: Personnel and Training, East Sussex County Council has worked in the public sector for over 20 years.  Leatham is a National Board Member of the Public Sector People Management Association and Lead Policy Officer for Wellbeing, Worklessness and Job Creation. Leatham has held a range of leadership roles from contract management to ICT Services.

Alex Tambourides is the National Workplace Lead for Mind and also works at a local level as the Deputy Chief Executive for Hammersmith and Fulham Mind. Alex has been working in the field of mental health for over 5yrs, driven by a passion caused by his own experience of depression. At a national level Alex’s work is focused entirely on mental health and employment.

Derek Mowbray is a Chartered Psychologist and Scientist with a doctorate in leadership.

He has a unique combination of management and academic credentials with a special interest in occupational health psychology which aims to harmonise the relationship between organisations and their workforce. His specialties are building organisation-wide Positive Work Cultures, adaptive leaders, together with the performance related behaviour of leaders and managers in relation to their people.

Christine E. Hunter is the Head of Occupational Health Services for Central London Community Healthcare which is a community based NHS service, She has had 40 year experience in the specialty of Occupational Health.

 

Dr Nerys Williams

Deputy Director Occupational Health
Department for Work and Pensions

Nerys qualified in Medicine from Manchester University before undertaking a number of hospital jobs and GP training. She joined the Wellcome Foundation as an Occupational Physician before moving to the Health and Safety Executive in 1992.
